Trinity won its 12th
consecutive game on Friday night at Birmingham-Southern, matching the
team's longest winning streak since before joining the SCAC in the early
1990's.
Patrick Robinson led
the Tigers with 21 points on 5-10 shooting and 7-7 free throws.
Robinson also hit 4-6 three-point shots and dished out a pair of
assists.
Four other players
scored in double figures for Trinity, including 11 points each for
Charles Houston and Nick Polidoroff. Luke Caldarera and Jonathan
Lewis added 10 points each, and both Caldarera and Houston led the team
with seven rebounds.
Houston eclipsed 700
career points with his 11 points on Friday, joining B.J. Moon as the two
active players over that milestone. Moon is 52 points from
reaching 800 and is the team's active leader in career scoring.
Moon passed Jonathan
McNulty (1992-96) on the all-time three-pointers scored list, moving
into eighth place in Trinity history. He needs seven more to tie
for seventh with Mike Cleary (1995-99).
Last season against
Rhodes, Robinson led the team with 24 points on 8-11 shooting to lead
the Tigers to the win.
