Trinity's men's basketball team lost a 45-63 Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference game on Friday night at Hendrix College.
Trinity (6-7, 1-2) trailed 21-26 at the half, then
was outscored 37-24 in the second period. The Tigers shot just 34%
from the field for the game, while Hendrix came in at just under 48%
shooting.
Brandon York led Trinity with nine points in the
game, while Mike Gilb added eight points, and B.J. Moon chipped in with
seven. Barrett Koch led the team with four rebounds, also scoring
four points for the Tigers.
Michael Bennett led all scorers with 20 points for
Hendrix, while Andrew King and Cal Rose each added 10 points.
Bennett also finished with a double-double, leading the game with 10
rebounds.
Trinity will face Austin College on Sunday
afternoon to cap the weekend of conference play. The Tigers return
home next Saturday (Jan. 13) to face Southwestern University.
