San Antonio -
Trinity's men's soccer team posted its second shutout of the weekend
with a 5-0 win over Rhodes College on Sunday afternoon.
Trinity (11-0-0, 3-0-0) led
2-0 at the half, then put the game out of reach less than 10 minutes
into the second period, scoring three goals in a span of less than three
minutes early in the period.
Robert C'deBaca scored a pair
of goals in the game, including the game-winning penalty kick in the
18th minute. He also scored the first goal of the second half in
the 51st minute. Noe Casanova and Patrick Floeck assisted on the
goal.
Ben Grossman also scored in
the first half for Trinity, assisted by German Gomez and Will Maddox.
Casanova scored in the 52nd minute, followed by Floeck's third goal of
the weekend in the 54th minute. Ben Stewart assisted on that final
goal.
David Steinberg and Patrick
Johnson combined for the shutout, with each GK recording one save.
Trinity will hit the road this
weekend, taking on Colorado College and Austin College in SCAC action.
The Tigers return home to face DePauw and Centre the following weekend.
