Trinity Edges UT-Dallas With Late Goal

 

Abilene, Texas - Trinity senior forward Ben Grossman scored in the 89th minute as the Tigers edged the UT-Dallas Comets 1-0 Saturday at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference-American Southwest Conference Challenge at Hardin-Simmons University.

The Tigers improved to 4-1-0, for their fourth straight win of the season. Trinity, ranked No. 25 in the NCAA Division III, now stands at 10-0-0 against the Comets.  UT-Dallas had its first loss of the year and dropped to 2-1-2.

Grossman tallied his third game-winning goal of the season, and has scored in four of the five contests.

Trinity begins defense of its SCAC title next Friday in Sherman, Texas, with Austin College. The Tigers travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., on Sunday, Sept. 20, for an SCAC game with Colorado College.
