San Antonio
- CH Farmer of Dallas (Lake
Highlands), a Trinity University Tigers sophomore defensive midfielder,
has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s
Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Farmer, who
transferred from Xavier University, led the Tiger defense in shutting
out Centre and DePauw 1-0 in important SCAC home games last weekend.
Trinity’s defensive unit yielded only four total shots in the two games.
The Tigers yielded one shot in Friday’s game with Centre, and three in
Sunday’s match-up with DePauw.
Trinity has
recorded nine shutouts in 13 games.
The Tigers
(10-1-2, 5-0-0 SCAC) moved up in national rankings in the d3soccer.com
poll. Trinity is now ranked ninth, from No. 10. The National Soccer
Coaches Association of America Division III poll once again rates the
Tigers at No. 12.
On Saturday,
Trinity continues defense of its SCAC Championship by hosting
Southwestern University at 8 p.m. |
