Trinity Downs Kenyon College Wednesday

 

San Antonio – Trinity's men's tennis team handed Kenyon College a 7-2 defeat on Wednesday afternoon at Delavan Tennis Stadium.

Trinity (8-2) won all three doubles matches, then took four out of six matches in singles play.  David Tran moved to 9-0 in singles play this season with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles.  Tran's win also clinched the match for the 12th-ranked Trinity team.

Tran also teamed with Crisanto Ramirez to win 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.  Oliver Gaines won 6-1, 7-6 (3) at No. 1 singles, then won No. 1 doubles 8-6 with teammate Ryan DeSantis.

Trinity will travel to California for its next match, and will face Claremont, Redlands, and Pacific Lutheran from March 23-25.  The Tigers face PLU at Claremont, California in a neutral match.
