Trinity Rolls on in Conference Tournament

Waco, Texas – Trinity's men's tennis team defeated University of the South-Sewanee 7-2 at the SCAC Tournament on Saturday afternoon, advancing to tomorrow's SCAC Championship match against DePauw.

Trinity (16-3) took a 2-1 lead after doubles play, then scored five straight-set victories in singles to take the overall win.

David Tran improved to 16-1 in singles play this season, which is the most singles wins on the team in 2007.  Tran and Crisanto Ramirez also won for the team-high 14th time as a doubles team.

Trinity will take on No. 2 seed DePauw University tomorrow for the SCAC Championship and the automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs.  The Trinity Tigers have won 13 SCAC titles in a row, dating back to 1994.
