Trinity's men's and women's tennis teams had six total players earn All-SCAC honors, highlighted by senior men's player Oliver Gaines was named the SCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year.

Trinity's Oliver Gaines and James Furr both lost in the NCAA Singles Championships on Friday, while Gaines and Ryan DeSantis were defeated in the doubles draw.  Click above for the tournament site, which will include full results.

Five Players to Compete at Singles and Doubles Championships
Trinity's men's and women's tennis teams will send five players to next weekend's NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships tournaments.  The men will travel to Bates College, while the women compete at Gustavus Adolphus College.  Both tournaments are May 16-18.

The Tiger men's tennis team was unable to hold on to a 4-1 lead in the NCAA Playoffs, losing to hosting Mary Washington in the regional finals on Sunday afternoon.

Tiger Men's Tennis Defeats Stevens Institute in Regional Semifinals
Trinity's men's tennis team earned a 5-0 win over Stevens Institute at the NCAA Regional Semifinals on Saturday morning at the University of Mary Washington.  The Tigers will face either Mary Washington or Washington & Lee in tomorrow's regional final.

Men's Tennis Earns Playoff Bid and Top Seed at Regionals
Trinity's men's tennis team earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Playoffs on Sunday evening, and will be the top seed for the opening weekend of play.  The Tigers are the top seed and will receive a bye for the first of three rounds to be played at the University of Mary Washington.

Top-Ranked Men's Tennis Team Upset by DePauw in SCAC Title Match

Trinity's top-ranked men's tennis team lost 8-1 at DePauw in the SCAC Championship match on Sunday afternoon.  Trinity had won six consecutive matches coming into today.

Trinity Defeats Rhodes in SCAC Semifinals Saturday Afternoon

The Tiger men's tennis team defeated Rhodes College 7-2 in the SCAC Semifinals on Saturday afternoon.  Trinity, ranked No. 1 in the nation and the top seed in this tournament, will face hosting DePauw for the conference title tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.

Tigers Blank Hendrix to Open SCAC Championships Friday

Trinity's top-ranked men's tennis team defeated Hendrix College 9-0 to open its part in the 2008 SCAC Championships on Friday afternoon.  The Tigers, the top seed in the tournament, will take on fourth-seed Rhodes College tomorrow at noon.

Trinity's Top-Ranked Men's Team Sweeps Austin and Colorado College

The Tiger men's tennis team, ranked No. 1 in Division III won a pair of 9-0 matches against SCAC teams on Saturday, defeating both Austin College and Colorado College to finish off the regular season.

Tigers Defeat Southwestern to Open Final Weekend of Regular Season
 
Trinity's men's tennis team began the final weekend of the regular season with an 8-1 win over Southwestern University on Friday afternoon.  The Tigers recently moved up to No. 1 in the nation, and will finish the season against two SCAC teams tomorrow afternoon.

Trinity Men's Tennis Moves to Top Spot in Division III Poll
 
The Tiger men's tennis team has taken over the No. 1 spot in the latest Division III national poll, released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.  Trinity will finish off the regular season with three matches this weekend against SCAC teams.

Trinity's men's tennis team handed Schreiner University a 9-0 shutout loss on Saturday morning at Delavan Tennis Stadium.  The Tigers have won 12 of their last 13 matches against Division III teams.

Trinity Men's Tennis Settles for Split in Saturday's Action on the Road
 
Trinity's men's tennis team won the first match of a Saturday doubleheader in Tyler, Texas, defeating UT-Tyler 6-3.  The Tigers had to settle for a split on the day, though, as Tyler Junior College won a 9-0 decision later in the afternoon.

Tiger Winning Streak Snapped by Third-Ranked Washington (MO)
 
Trinity's men's tennis team had its 11-match win streak snapped at the hands of third-ranked Washington (MO) University on Saturday, as the Tigers were edged 5-4 in the match.  Trinity, ranked eighth in Division III, just missed sweeping three top 10 teams this weekend.

Trinity Defeats Claremont in Another Battle of Top Ten Teams
 
The Tiger men's tennis team won its 11th consecutive match on Thursday, beating Claremont College 6-3 in a clash between two teams ranked in the top 10 in Division III.  Trinity, ranked eighth nationally, beat No. 7 Claremont this afternoon, and will face third-ranked Washington (MO) University tomorrow morning.

Tiger Men Down Ninth-Ranked Williams College on Thursday
 
Trinity's men's tennis team, ranked eighth nationally, defeated ninth-ranked Williams College 6-3 on Thursday afternoon at Delavan Tennis Stadium.  The Tigers clinched the team's 10th consecutive win at No. 2 singles when James Furr won 6-3, 6-3 for the team's fifth point.
