Coral Springs, Florida - Two of Trinity's
women's golf team members were named to the National Golf Coaches
Association All-American Scholar Team for their performance in the
classroom. According to the NGCA Web site,
"The criteria for selection to the All-America Scholar Team are some of
the most stringent in all of college athletics." Student-athletes
must hold a minimum GPA of 3.50, and must compete in two-thirds of the
school's competitions.
Juniors Allison Bird and Michelle McCollough
both earned the honor for the 2006 season, marking the second straight
year that Trinity has had two women's golfers earn the award.
Head Coach Carla Spenkoch and Assistant Coach
Therese Bass have led the women's team to a second place finish at the
SCAC Championships twice in the past three seasons. |
