Barry Tied for Second, Team Fourth After Opening Round at UMHB

Salado, Texas – Trinity men’s golfer Ryan Barry is tied for second place after Monday’s opening round of the UMHB Fall Invitational.

Barry, a sophomore, shot a par-71 at the Mill Creek Country Club course. He is tied with Stefan Labuschagne of Tyler Junior College, the team leader after the first day. Chris George of Tyler is the individual leader, at 1-under 70.

Senior Jonathan Alden is tied for 10th place and first-year golfer Warren Taylor is in a tie for 14th.

The Tigers stand in fourth place after 18 holes, with a 299. Trinity is three strokes ahead of host Mary Hardin-Baylor, one behind Lon Morris Community College, three behind Texas-Brownsville and 12 behind UT-Tyler.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with an 18-hole round.
