Why Trinity?
Trinity University's women's tennis team
offers a unique experience and opportunity to play at a National level while developing strong friendships between the coaches and players from both the Men's and Women's teams. At Trinity, it's not just about winning, it's about growing as a person and as a player. It's about having fun and finding that drive in all of us to succeed. It is our goal to provide the best possible experience to everyone who chooses to participate on our team.

Work Ethic:
Our teams practice a minimum of 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. Our practices, on average, consist of fed drills to warm-up, followed by point-play situation games, and games or sets of singles and/or doubles. If there's time at the end of practices, the team will usually get together to play each other in a game on the court or occasionally head over to the IM field to play a friendly game of ultimate frisbee. During the off-season, the Team Captains take over the role of the coaches and lead the team in daily practices. Weight lifting is highly encouraged and team members often pair off to help each other in the gym. It is never required however, as we like to keep the requirements to only what each person sees fit for themselves. It is not long before our players soon learn self-motivation and develop that drive to improve themselves which is so prevalent on our team.

Relationships:
The atmosphere between not only the players and coaches of one team, but the players and coaches of both teams is something that is very important and special to Trinity Tennis. It is rare that you'll find any other college or university whose teams are so closely connected both on and off the court. Team practice, matches, and trips are often scheduled concurrently so that men's and woman's players can cheer for everyone playing for Trinity. Special events are also scheduled for both teams by both the coaches and players such as the beginning of the year tubing trip and Coach's Team Christmas Dinner. The bonds that are formed both between players and teams are something that Trinity takes great pride in and we are proud to be one of the very few places to offer this.

Goal:
As a member of Trinity's Tennis Team, it is our goal to see that every player has a chance to set and achieve their own goals. We encourage and provide an opportunity for everyone to become the player they want to be. With a balanced combination of hard work and determination our players grow at a pace that's right for them, because we believe that passion is the most important quality in a player. At Trinity, it's not just about winning, it's about finding the motivation to be all that you can be, it's about putting everything you have out on the court, and it's about being able to smile and be proud at the end of the day, when it's all said and done, that you accomplished something here.
