Conduct of Events

 

NCAA rules will govern the conduct of the meet.

One consolation and one championship final heat will be held for each individual event.  The consolation final will consist of the 9th through 16th fastest swimmers from preliminaries.  The championship final will consist of the fastest eight swimmers from preliminaries.

The exception of this procedure will be the 1650 freestyle and the 800 freestyle relay, which will be timed finals.   The fastest heat of the 1650 freestyle will be swum during the evening finals on Saturday, February 17 with all other heats swum in the preliminaries.  The consolation final and the championship final heats of the 800 freestyle relay will be held during the evening finals session on Friday, February 16.
