Trinity's Teresa Greppi was named to the
inaugural SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team for the
2009 season. Greppi was one of 11 SCAC

Seven Trinity Players Earn All-SCAC
Honors for 2009 Season
The Tiger softball team had seven players earn
All-SCAC honors for the 2009 season, including
first-years Karen MacPherson and Brittany Losey.
MacPherson was named to the All-SCAC First Team,
while Losey earned a spot on the Second Team.
Five others earned honorable mention.

Softball's Karen MacPherson Named
Third Team All-West Region
Tiger first-year outfielder Karen MacPherson has
been named Third Team All-West Region by the
NFCA. MacPherson broke the single season
record for steals in her first year, and led the
team with a .402 batting average.

All-Tournament Team
Trinity first-year Karen MacPherson was named to
the All-Tournament Team for the SCAC
Championships. MacPherson hit over .400 at
the plate, and the Tigers finished tied for
fourth in the tournament.

team was eliminated from the SCAC Softball
Tournament with a 4-0 loss to Rhodes College on
Saturday afternoon. Trinity finishes the
season with a record of 13-22 overall, tying for
fourth in the SCAC.

Tigers Open With Win Over
Millsaps, but Fall to DePauw Friday
Trinity's softball team
opened up its part in the SCAC Softball
Championships with a 12-5 win over Millsaps
College, then lost 3-1 to 17th-ranked DePauw in
the opening day finale on Friday night.
The Tigers will face Rhodes in an elimination
game tomorrow afternoon. Click the

Trinity Softball Splits Final
Doubleheader of Regular Season
The Tiger softball team split
its final doubleheader of the regular season on
Sunday afternoon, following a 9-0 loss with a
5-4 win against Austin College. Trinity
will be the SCAC West Division's second seed at
the SCAC Tournament next weekend.

Tigers Sweep Doubleheader From
Austin to Earn Spot in SCAC Tournament
Trinity's softball team
opened a four-game SCAC series with a
doubleheader sweep of Austin College on Saturday
afternoon, winning 5-4 in the first game and
coming from behind to take a 9-7 win in the
finale. With the wins, the Tigers have
qualified for the SCAC Softball Tournament,
hosted by Trinity next weekend.

Tigers Split SCAC Doubleheader at
Southwestern on Friday
Trinity's softball
team opened up a weekend of play in the SCAC by
splitting a pair of games at Southwestern on
Friday afternoon. The Tigers lost 8-0 in
the opener, then bounced back with a 4-2 win in
game two. The teams finish off the series
with a doubleheader tomorrow in Georgetown,
Texas.

Trinity's softball
team swept a Sunday afternoon SCAC doubleheader
at Colorado College, winning 14-1 and 11-8 in
Colorado Springs, Colorado. Trinity
hitters hit four home runs in the two games,
while former Colorado College player Alexa
Calderon tied a school record with four runs in
the first game.

Four Tiger Players
Earn NFCA All-America Scholar Honors for 2007-08
The 2008 Trinity softball team had four
players earn All-America Scholar honors from the
National Fastpitch Coaches Association for the
2007-08 school year. Michelle Gossein,
Teresa Greppi, Krista Prato Matthews, and Lee
Smith were all awarded the honor, which requires
them to keep a minimum 3.5 GPA for the year.
