SCAC Release Tiger Softball Team
Has Five Players Earn All-SCAC Honors
Trinity's softball team had five players earn
All-SCAC honors for the 2008 season, as
announced by the conference today. Kate
Wright and Jamie Williams were named to the
First Team, while Michelle Gossein, Lee Smith,
and Christina Carni all earned Honorable
Mention.

SCAC Release Kate Wright Named to
SCAC All-Tournament Team
Trinity outfielder/starting pitcher Kate Wright
was named to the SCAC All-Tournament Team for
her performance last weekend. Wright had
two complete games in the tournament, hitting
.400 at the plate as well.

Tigers Eliminated by Walk-off
Home Run by Centre College
Trinity's
softball team was eliminated by Centre College
on Saturday afternoon at the SCAC Championships
Tournament. Centre won the game 1-0 on a
walk-off home run with one out in the bottom of
the seventh inning.

Trinity Strikes First, but
Millsaps Rallies to Win at SCAC Tournament The Tiger
softball team opened its part of the SCAC
Tournament with three runs in the first inning,
but Millsaps scored eight unanswered to take an
8-3 win on Friday night. Kate Wright
(12-1) suffered her first loss of the season,
and Trinity was held to just four total hits
offensively.

Kate Wright Selected as SCAC
Player of the Week Trinity junior
Kate Wright has been selected as the Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the
Week after leading the team to a weekend sweep
at Hendrix College. Wright hit .500 for
the week, and also went 3-0 from the circle.
