Prospective swimmers and divers are
encouraged to contact Coach John Ryan at his office by e-mailing
jryan@trinity.edu or by telephoning (210) 999-8238. Please note that
a
questionnaire is included at the end of this page. Please fill it
out and submit it directly to the T.U. swim team office over the
Internet.
The Trinity University Admission's Office can
be reached between 8:00 and 5:00pm weekdays by calling 1-800-TRINITY.
Literature and undergraduate applications will be mailed to you upon
request. On weekdays during the fall and
spring academic sessions, juniors and seniors may arrange to visit a
class session (requires two weeks notice), talk with a professor
(requires two-week notice), schedule a visit with an admissions
counselor, and/or take a tour of our campus. If visiting on a Saturday,
a tour and an information session are available in the morning. Saturday
visits are available except major holiday weekends--Labor Day, Memorial
Day, Thanksgiving, Easter; also Saturdays in conjunction with
Independence Day, Christmas and New Year's depending on the proximity to
the holiday.
Each year, the Trinity University Admission's Office conducts a
special program for prospective students and their parents, called
"Trinity-In-Focus." It is a good introduction to the University, and is
conducted on several designated Saturdays during the fall, winter and
spring months. One may explore the campus and the college community, as
well as meet with students, faculty, and administrators for an in-depth
view of Trinity's "overall" undergraduate program. The
remaining scheduled
"Trinity-In-Focus" dates for the 2006-2007 school year are
November 18 and January 20. There will also be a similar program
called "Camus of Champions, offered on January 13. This special
Admissions orientation session is geared towards varsity athletes. To learn
more about visit options and registration, please visit the Admissions
Web site, located by clicking
Admissions.
The cost of tuition and
fees/room and board at Trinity is among the lowest of the most highly
regarded private colleges nationwide. The University offers both
academic scholarships and need-based financial aid to students who meet
the University's competitive admission's standards. T.U. is proud of
its ability to keep its cost as economical as possible and is very
committed to making a Trinity education affordable to every admitted
student. We urge all who have above-average test scores/GPA and have
taken honors and academic placement courses to apply for academic
awards. See your college counselor for more information.
It is important to note that Trinity
encourages all applicants to investigate financial aid. Need-based
financial aid can only be determined if you submit the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA). The earlier you apply the greater the likelihood that you
will receive the aid package for which you qualify. You may obtain a
FAFSA from your high school guidance office or from the Trinity
Financial Aid Office. Trinity's FAFSA code is 003647. For additional
information go to the
T.U. Financial Aid website and review the section entitled "How to
Apply for Financial Aid."
Thank you
for visiting the Trinity University Swimming and Diving web page. We
appreciate your interest and hope that we can convince you to come
experience some fun in the sun with the T.U. Tigers. Before you exit
this section, please click to go to our
questionnaire for prospective swimmers/divers. By sending it to the
Trinity swimming office, you will expedite the receipt of further
information from the coaching staff and the Admissions Office. |
