Baer Fifth in Javelin at
Nationals, While Brush Sixth in 800 Meters
Tiger football and track & field standout Chris
Baer broke his own school record in the javelin
at the NCAA Championships on Saturday, finishing
fifth overall and earning All-America honors.
Zach Brush, the lone
first-year runner to make the finals in the 800
meters, finished sixth in the event to also earn
All-America honors.

Loeffler Third in Steeple and
Brush Qualifies for Finals at NCAAs
Trinity's Emily
Loeffler finished third in the 3000 meter
steeplechase at the NCAA Championships on
Friday, while Zach Brush qualified for the
finals in the 800 meter run. Loeffler
broke her own school record and earned
All-America honors. Todd Wildman finished
13th in the high jump and 14th in the 110
hurdles, missing the finals.

Four
Tiger Track & Field Team Members Selected for
Nationals
Trinity's men's and women's track & field teams
had four athletes selected to compete at next
weekend's NCAA Championships Meet in Oshkosh,
Wisconsin. Emily Loeffler will compete for
the second straight year for the women, while
Todd Wildman, Zach Brush, and Chris Baer were
all selected from the Tiger men's team.

Loeffler, Wildman Win Events and Break Records
Saturday
Trinity's Emily Loeffler and Todd Wildman broke
their own Tiger records in the 3000-meter
steeplechase and the 110-meter hurdles,
respectively, improving their
provisional-qualifying times for the NCAA Meet.
Jeremy Daum and Chass
Armstrong also broke their own school records in
the steeplechase and the 1500 meter run,
respectively.

The Tiger men's track & field team won
its second straight SCAC Championship by coming
back from third place at the start of the day on
Saturday afternoon. The women's team
finished third after winning the title last
season.

was named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for
his performance last weekend. Baer won the
javelin throw and broke his own school record in

a very successful meet for the Tiger track &
field teams. Emily Loeffler won the 1500
meter run, while Chass Armstrong was the 800
meter run winner.

Noble Relays
Tiger sophomore Elizabeth Tweedy finished
ninth in the heptathlon at the David Noble
Relays on Friday in San Angelo, Texas. The
meet continues on Saturday, as other members of
Trinity's track & field teams will compete at
Angelo State University.

performance at the Pomona Invitational last
weekend. Armstrong broke his own record in
the 1,500 meter race.

Break Their Own TU Records at Pomona
Zach Brush and Chass Armstrong both set
new Trinity records at the Pomona Invitational
on Saturday, also earning provisional qualifying
marks for the NCAA Championships. Brush
broke his own school record in the 800, racing
to the nation's top time in Division III.
Armstrong also broke his own record in the 1,500
meter run.
