Tigers Sweep Hosting Centre Sunday

Danville, Kentucky - Trinity's volleyball team opened the final day of the SCAC East-West Tournament with a 3-0 win over Centre College on Sunday.

Trinity (15-1, 7-0) won 30-26, 30-17, and 30-19 in the game, securing the Tigers' 13th straight victory.

The Tigers were led by Aly Hazelwood and Megan Dudley on offense, as each player tallied a team-best seven kills.  Hazelwood also recorded a team-high eight blocks in the match. 

Sara Buros and Joni Jacobi tied for the team lead with 14 digs, while Buros also led the way with three service aces.  Caroline Keener led the team with 22 assists.

Trinity, ranked fifth nationally, will face 18th-ranked Southwestern later this afternoon to conclude the tournament.
