Trinity Falls to A&M-Kingsville Sunday

 

San Antonio - Trinity's volleyball team lost its first match of the season on Sunday afternoon, as Texas A&M-Kingsville secured a 3-0 victory at the Alamo City Classic.

Trinity (3-1) is co-hosting the Alamo City Classic with Incarnate Word, and the tournament concludes today with the two host schools matching up.

The Tigers fell 28-30, 17-30, and 30-32 to A&M-Kingsville, getting swept for the first time since alst September in a regular season match.

Caroline Keener recorded a double-double for the Tigers, tallying 34 assists and 10 digs in the match.

Megan Guest led Trinity in digs with 15, and Megan Dudley led the team with 13 kills.  Five different players recorded one block to tie for the team lead - including Leslie Schornack, who also had a team-high three service aces.

Today's final match is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. between Trinity and UIW.
