Trinity Sweeps Millsaps to Open Sunday's Action

Memphis, Tennessee - The Tiger volleyball team opened up day two of the SCAC East-West Tournament with a 3-0 win over Millsaps College.

Trinity (20-1, 10-0) won 30-24, 30-13, and 30-17 in the match, securing the team's 17th consecutive victory.

Sara Buros and Megan Dudley tied for the team lead with eight kills in the match, while Caiti Troyer finished with a team-best 19 assists.

Joni Jacobi recorded 11 digs, while Megan Guest tallied three service aces, and both totals led the Tigers.  Ginger Haley posted a team-best five blocks as well.

Trinity, ranked fifth nationally, takes on 18th-ranked Southwestern later this afternoon to wrap up the tournament.
