| Wheaton, Illinois
- The Tiger women's soccer team had its two-game win streak
snapped by top-ranked Wheaton (IL) College on Monday night, losing
by the final score of 2-0. Trinity (2-3)
trailed 1-0 at the half after Wheaton managed a late-period goal
against the visiting Tigers. With just under three minutes
until halftime, the defending champs got a goal from Taryne Lee to
go to the break with a lead.
In the second half, the Thunder scored again
to cushion their lead, this coming in the 63rd minute of play.
Jennifer Fifield had four saves in goal for
the Tigers. Offensively, Trinity was held to just three shots
in the game, though the defense kept Wheaton to just 14 total shots.
Trinity will open SCAC play on the road this
weekend, taking on Millsaps College and Birmingham-Southern College. |
