Tigers Beat Bulldogs for Fourth Straight Win

Seguin, Texas - Trinity's women's soccer team defeated Texas Lutheran University 3-0 on Sunday afternoon, winning the team's fourth consecutive game.

Trinity (6-3-0) led 2-0 at halftime after goals in the 15th and 40th minutes, then added the game's final goal in the 53rd minute.  The Tigers also faced just three total shots in the game, hammering out 31 shots offensively.

Brianna Young scored her fifth goal of the season at 14:07 off of an assist by Michelle Grambeau.  It was the third game-winning goal of the season for Young, who also scored less than 10 minutes into the second period for her second straight multi-goal game.

Grace Rizza scored in between the two goals by Young, connecting on a free kick at 39:35 to propel the team to a two-goal lead at the half.  Jennifer Wray, who leads the team in total points, added another to her season total by recording an assist on Young's second goal.

Jennifer Fifield and Alexandra Blake combined for the team's third shutout of the season.  Fifield made two saves in the game - both of which came in the second half, and kept the Bulldogs from mounting a comeback in this game.

Trinity will host Hendrix and Rhodes in SCAC action next weekend.  The games will be the first conference home games for Trinity, which won a pair of SCAC road games against Millsaps and Birmingham-Southern last weekend.
