Trinity Sweeps Two ASC Teams on Saturday

 

San Antonio - The Tiger women's tennis teams swept a pair of American Southwest Conference teams on Saturday, beating both Hardin-Simmons and McMurry by the score of 9-0 at Delavan Tennis Stadium.

Trinity (5-1) played against Division III opponents for the first time this season, and has now won three straight matches by scores of 9-0.

Megan Fish won four times today, sweeping both of her doubles matches with two different partners in Megan Jackson and Cayleigh Simpson.  In singles, she took a three-set victory against Hardin-Simmons, then won in straight sets at No. 1 against McMurry.

Simpson took three wins herself today, winning twice in singles and once in doubles.  Also with three individual wins today were Katie Poettcker and Alicia Hunt.  Hunt won at No. 1 singles and doubles against Hardin-Simmons, as well as No. 1 doubles against McMurry. 

Trinity will take on Incarnate Word next Saturday at 2:00 p.m.  The match will also be at Delavan Tennis Stadium.
