Trinity Tiger women's soccer team shut out the Rhodes College Lynx
2-0 Friday night in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference game.
Trinity remained undefeated at
15-0-0 overall, and improved to 8-0-0 SCAC.
Sophomore
defender Dana Carter scored the eventual game-winner in the 37th
minute, with an assist from junior forward Jordan Azar. Carter
recorded her first goal of the season, and Azar made her sixth
assist of the campaign.
Senior
midfielder Brianna Young scored in her 11th consecutive game,
bringing her total to 14 goals. Sophomore forward Abi Loar made her
fifth assist of the season.
The Tigers,
who had their 11th shutout of the year, led Rhodes 13-4 in shots,
and 8-1 on goal. The two teams tied in corner kicks, with three
each.
Trinity wraps
up its regular season Sunday, by hosting Hendrix at 2 p.m. in an
SCAC game. |
