Tigers Remain Unbeaten Against Division III Teams

 

San Antonio - Trinity's women's tennis team improved to 4-0 against Division III teams this season with a 9-0 win over Schreiner University on Saturday afternoon.

Trinity (6-5) won two doubles matches and four singles matches, with the remaining matches being won by default. 

Alicia Hunt and Renae Wright improved to 4-1 in doubles play with an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles, while Libby Benoist and Jennifer Taylor won at No. 2 doubles in their first action of the 2007 season.

Krista Melish took a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles - her first match in that position.  Lauren Trapani and Heather Naeher won their fifth singles matches of the year, while Kristen Kornegay earned her first singles victory of the season.

Trinity will face Kenyon College on Tuesday, March 9, followed by a 17-day break.  The Tigers will return to action on March 23 with a trip to California.
