Four-Match Win Streak Snapped at Texas State

San Marcos, Texas - The Tiger women's tennis team had its four-match winning streak snapped at the hands of Division I Texas State University on Friday afternoon.

Trinity (4-5) lost 8-1 in the match, with Renae Wright and Alicia Hunt scoring a narrow 8-7 victory at No. 2 doubles.  The Tigers fall to 1-5 against non-Division III opponents.

Hayley Dittus lost for just the second time all year in singles, falling to 6-2 overall this season.  Dittus fell 6-3, 6-4 in her No. 1 singles match Friday.

Hunt and Wright are now 3-1 as a doubles team - all played at the No. 2 spot this season.  Hunt has won five of her last six doubles matches after losing the first two of the year.

Trinity returns home tomorrow to take on a pair of American Southwest Conference opponents.  The Tigers will host UT-Tyler in the morning, followed by an afternoon tilt with Schreiner.
