The 17th-ranked
Tigers started off their California trip with a 5-1 victory over the
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas late Friday.
The match was
delayed because of rain, and was played to decision.
Trinity (3-3)
won two of the three doubles matches, winning the Nos. 1 and 2
slots. Katy Poettcker and Erin Jamison took No. 1 doubles and Megan
Jackson and Melissa Weinnig won No. 3 doubles.
Katy Poettcker
won at No. 1 singles and clinched the match for the Tigers. It was
halted after Poettcker’s victory. In the completed singles matches,
Katie Griffith won No. 2 singles and Kassie Seger captured No. 6.
The Tigers
play the 14th-ranked University of Redlands Bulldogs
tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m.
