The University of Redlands
Bulldogs, ranked No. 14 in the NCAA Division III, beat the No. 17
Trinity University Tigers women 6-3 Saturday in an NCAA Division III
match.
Trinity, which
came off a 5-1 victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Friday at
Claremont, now stands at 3-4. The Bulldogs took two of three
doubles matches and four of six singles.
Trinity’s
Megan Jackson and Melissa Weinnig captured No. 3 doubles. Katy
Poettcker was a winner at No. 1 singles and Weinnig won a three-set
match at No. 6.
The Tigers
conclude their California trip Sunday with a noon Pacific Time (2
p.m. Central) match against ninth-ranked Pomona-Pitzer at Claremont.
