San Antonio - In its Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference opener, Trinity's baseball team lost 3-9
to Millsaps College on Saturday afternoon.

the game, giving up all nine runs in the first three innings. The
game was the first of a Saturday afternoon doubleheader.
John Fox, the Millsaps starter, had a
no-hitter through 6.2 innings, but Will Becker broke it up with a single

a walk to lead off the inning. Nick Vera broke up the shutout with
a three-run homer after Fox was relieved.
Adam Frey (0-1) was charged with the
loss, and Jon Allen struck out six hitters over the final 5.1 innings of
play. Allen allowed just two runs - one earned - on eight hits.

for Millsaps, while four other hitters recorded multi-hit games.
Justin Carter, Garner Wetzel, and Scott King all finished with two hits
and two RBI for the Majors.
