- The
Trinity University Tigers and the
Austin College Kangaroos softball teams wrapped up their regular seasons
with a doubleheader split Sunday at the Tigers’ field.
Austin College won the opener 9-0, in a
five-inning run-rule game. Trinity took the second half of the
doubleheader 5-4, and won the season series 3-1. The Tigers captured
Saturday’s games 5-4 and 9-7.
On Saturday, the Tigers also
qualified for the SCAC Championship tournament, to be hosted by Trinity,
next Friday through Sunday, April 26. Trinity (12-20, 10-6 SCAC) will
take on the Millsaps College Majors (15-20, 7-7 SCAC) at 2 p.m. next
Friday. Trinity is the No. 2 team in the SCAC West Division and Millsaps
