| The Department of Business Administration,
in addition to its accounting internship program, offers two for-credit
internship courses for
students studying in areas other than accounting. BUSN 3397, Internship in Business Administration,
offers students the opportunity to gain real world experience through substantive
work with a wide variety of for-profit businesses, non-profit organizations,
and government offices. BUSN
3396, Internship in International Business, offers the same opportunity for students
except that the environment in which students work must be
international in scope. In both courses,
students are required to work the equivalent of a minimum of a workday a week
throughout the semester they are enrolled. In
addition, throughout the semester, they prepare journals summarizing their activities,
and they write a final paper in which they carefully evaluate their internship
experience and reflect upon what they have learned. |
