Business Administration
Internships - International Business

The purpose of this course is to provide students with hands-on experience in international business.  Students, working as interns, will be involved in daily business activities and, possibly, special projects.

Each student will be working with a designated supervisor representing the host organization.  That supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the student's work activities as well as communicating with the BUSN 3396 Coordinator.

The scope of the course is both experiential and academic.  In addition to their responsibilities at the organization where they are serving as interns, students will be expected to accomplish a significant academic component to complete requirements for the course.

BUSN 3396: Internship in International Business

Sample Comments from Students on Their Internships:

“I really enjoyed the mix of nationalities that I worked with.  I often sat with some of the Chinese workers to practice my Chinese at lunch.  I could also sit with a few employees who were from Mexico, and we even had a small Indian population.  It was definitely a helpful environment when I wanted to practice Chinese or just learn something new about a different culture.”

“Interning in China created the opportunity to gain new perspectives on the world of business.  The knowledge and experience I gained from working in another country is invaluable.”
