Each year, Teach For America selects a
corps of over 2,000 individuals, provides them extensive
training during summer institutes, places them as full-time,
paid teachers in public schools, and coordinates an ongoing
network to support them during their two years as teachers and
beyond.
Qualifications:
• Leadership ability, strong
critical thinking skills, and a record of outstanding
achievement in past endeavors
• Bachelor's degree by June 2007
with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
• Citizen, national, or lawful
permanent resident of the United States
• Candidates of all backgrounds
and majors encouraged to apply
• No educational coursework or
certification required
