IT Apprentice Programmer/Analyst
Location: USAA Home Office, San Antonio,
TX.
Schedule: Full-time.
Starts: Training classes begin in January,
June, July and September.
Purpose of the job:
Apply entry level technical support in the
life cycle of acquiring,
developing, implementing, and maintaining
information technology
solutions. Participate in the installation,
customization and testing of purchased software. Apply entry
level analysis and/or programming support to implement, modify
or sustain in-house developed or purchased applications.
Complete assigned work packages. Participate in the analysis
and/or programming and testing of discrepancy and failure fixes.
Requirements:
• Working knowledge of one or
more programming languages to perform design, development,
modification or maintenance of IT Systems in either a mainframe
or client/server environment (e.g. COBOL, C, C++ and JAVA).
• Minimum of 18 hours computer
science courses and 6 hours programming languages.
• Graduate or degree candidate in
Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
• Must provide current resume and
transcript with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.0 overall and 3.25
GPA in your major.
• Excellent communication,
interpersonal, and analytical skills.
