We seek to facilitate volunteerism in a way that is meaningful, ongoing, practical, and that relates to the advancement of our educational mission.
Meaningful
There are many worthwhile service projects. As an academic institution this program puts our values into action – cultivating the future for those who may not otherwise see the opportunities.
Ongoing
Rather than a one-time volunteer effort, the University is investing time, energy, and care into a program and people with whom we would develop relationships.
Practical
We have the skills, the resources, the tools, and the spirit to do something that is our business: education. If there is a need, we can probably fill it. By working through the University, faculty, students, and staff can make reasonable and manageable commitments.
Advancement of our educational mission
We have a unique opportunity to open educational doors for students, to help them in their education, and to support the promise that lies within each of them. We can offer the ultimate incentive – achieve success in the classroom and one day become a member of the Trinity University community.
Goals
- Assist young students in attaining educational achievement and enthusiasm for the value of life-long learning.
- Offer young students hope and opportunities for access to higher education.
- Serve the faculty, staff, and parents of the school to assist them in advancing their mission.
