Office, appointment, and walk-in hours

Appointments can be made to meet with a career advisor regarding career options, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, job searches, etc.  Stop by Career Services (215 Coates University Center, above the Bookstore) or call (210) 999-8321 for details on available dates and times and to schedule an appointment. Appointments during evening hours are negotiable. At this time, appointments cannot be scheduled through e-mail.

If you are unable to make an appointment, walk-in hours are available. Walk-in hours mean no appointment required, first-come, first seen. Students sign in and are seen in the order in which they've signed in. Currently walk-in hours are Monday-Friday from 1:30-4:00pm.

Free fax service

Career Services offers a free outgoing fax service for Trinity students and graduates, both local and long distance. We are happy to fax any career-related materials at no charge, such as resumes, cover letters, reference letters or lists of references, transcripts, employment applications, interview follow-up letters, letter of employment acceptance or decline, letters of inquiry as to status of employment applications, graduate school applications and related materials. Due to time and staffing constraints, we prefer to fax a maximum of three faxes per day per person, but exceptions are negotiable. Materials will only be faxed once a day in the afternoon. Leave materials with a Career Staff member (if Career Services is out to lunch leave with person at front desk).  Any materials received after 2:00 pm will be faxed the next business day afternoon. faxed documents can be picked up the next business day; any left for 30 days will be shredded.

Unfortunately, we are unable to receive incoming faxes for students or alums and we are unable to fax non career-related materials, which might include such things as apartment leases, medical records and medical forms, insurance claims and other insurance forms, credit card applications, financial aid forms, personal correspondence, etc.

GRE and LSAT bulletins and other career-related publications

Career Services stocks the bulletins for the GRE and the LSAT exams. Stop by and pick up a copy. ( MCAT bulletins are available in the Biology Dept.) We also offer several other career-related publications that you're welcome to take and enjoy. One to be sure to look for is "Job Choices 2003." These are available in Career Services.

Handouts on resumes, interviewing, etc.

Check out the comprehensive handouts we offer: Resume Preparation Guide (also including cover letters and reference sheets), Recommended Web Resources, Interviewing Guide, Internship Guide, Web Links to Occupational Information, and more. Look for the handouts in Career Services or they can be found within the student section of this site.

Resource Area

Come see the Resource Area in Career Services, which contains hundreds of print and electronic resources on topics such as majors, internships, international experiences, graduate & professional school, and employment searches. Many of the books are available for check out.  We allow students to check out 2 books for a week at a time.  Any student failing to return the materials is subject to a replacement fee.
