Coates University Center is a unifying force in the life of the University. Enjoyed by student, faculty, staff, and off-campus guests, its facilities nurture an enduring regard for and loyalty to the campus life. The east wing of the University Center houses a spacious living room, the information desk, Coates Center staff offices, The Commons, and the Mail Center. Facilities upstairs include the Alumni Relations offices, lounge areas, and three meeting rooms named for Trinity’s three previous locations: Tehuacana, Waxahachie and Woodlawn. The Lennox Room, a small conference style meeting room, honors a family that has meant much to Trinity for many years. The Skyline Dining Room offers a formal dining space and a spectacular view of downtown San Antonio. The adjoining Underwood Room was named for Arch Underwood, who had insisted that the old Student Union Building be one of Trinity’s first buildings and provided major funding for its construction. The Career Services, Counseling Services and Disability Services offices are located on the 2nd floor of the west wing above the bookstore.

The west wing features a multilevel university bookstore and the Fiesta Room, which serves as a multi-purpose room for many campus events. Down the stairs from the Fiesta Room you will find the Tigers’ Den. The extreme west end of the University Center provides office space for the Campus and Community Involvement staff, and a student organization area. Housed on the lower level is the office of the Coordinator for Student Edited Publications and the Campus Publications offices.

The University Center is open every day until 1:00 a.m. during the academic year.

University Mail Center

The Mail Center is operated by Trinity University as a general-purpose campus mail room. All resident students and all administrative and academic departments have mailboxes in the Mail Center which is open Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm and

Saturday 10am – 1pm during the academic year. In addition to receiving and sending mail and packages, the Mail Center offers a limited number of postal services.
