MLK Jr. Lecture & Events
For
over 10 years now Trinity University has celebrated the life and work of
Martin Luther King, Jr with a commemorative lecture.
The
2009 Lecturer was L. Douglas Wilder. Wilder, a
prominent
historical and political figure made history, in 1989, when he won the
Virginia gubernatorial election, breaking a racial divide that had existed
in this country until that point by becoming the first African-American
elected governor in the United States.

Check back soon to find out who the 2010

Trinity University staff, students and faculty also participate in one of
the nation’s largest and most historic marches honoring the legacy of Martin
Luther King Jr. We take chartered buses for this event from
school, that way we can all go as a group and we give away FREE T-shirts for
all those who participate.
