  Greek Life

Greek Life at Trinity University serves as a home-away-from-home for about 25% of the undergraduate population. Being Greek at Trinity provides opportunities for leadership development, alumni networking, service to the Trinity and San Antonio communities, and creating lifelong friendships. Unlike most Greek systems, Trinity’s six fraternities and six sororities are all local. That is, these groups were started by Trinity students and exist only at Trinity. The Greek system has a rich history at Trinity, with some groups dating back over 75 years ago while others have recently joined the Greek community in the past three years.

The Greek system is self-governed with Greek Council serving as the governing body for the fraternities and sororities. There are several student-run sub-committees of Greek Council that oversee many aspects of Greek Life: Rush, New Member Orientation, Standards of Excellence, judicial cases, service, and campus wide programming.
