Such study includes the theory, analysis, design, efficiency, implementation and application of algorithms. The Computer Science Department provides a state of the art foundation of principles, skills, knowledge and creativity for the development of liberally educated computer scientists of the highest quality. The Computer Science program is designed to provide an appropriate mix of current technology and theory as well as challenge the majors to think critically and communicate effectively.

Law school applications have increased dramatically over the past two years, and the competition for admittance is very high.  While law schools are not concerned with specific majors, they do place a great deal of emphasis on the overall performance of applicants including internships, work experience, community service, evidence of a commitment to law, intellectual discipline, analytical skills, research and writing skills, oral skills, and time management.  Dr. John Hermann will address these issues and suggest strategies for successful applications to law school.
