Christopher Welser, Adjunct Professor, received a B.A. in Economics and Biology from Swarthmore College in 1994 and a M.A. in Latin and Greek from the University of Maryland in 1999. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Classical Philology at Brown University with a dissertation on democratic ideology and public finance in fourth-century B.C. Athens. His other research interests include ancient historiography and didactic poetry.

Teaching

Chris has recently taught courses in ancient history, Latin, education in antiquity and writing at Skidmore, Bryn Mawr, and Haverford Colleges.
