Savannah Perez '08 (A.M.S.) will begin law school at the University of Houston in the Fall 2008.

Allyson Walsh '10 had an article published in the December 2007 newsletter of the Southwest Texas Archaeological Association (Vol. 32, Issue 4). The article was entitled "A Revolutionary Summer: Western Connecticut State University Field School."

Jared Kaminski '09, Kathryn Pape '09, and Allyson Walsh '10 attended the 2008 meeting of the Archeological Institute of America in Chicago. For visual proof of Ally and Kati's presence, see here.

Kathryn Pape '09 participated in the excavation of a Roman bath complex at a villa in the Parco degli Aquedotti. She writes: "The villa was originally built by a friend of Hadrian's but was then in use in different forms for 400 years. The second season this summer has shown that the complex is even larger (with underground rooms and hypocaust systems) than originally thought." The Associated Press put out a widely publicized story about the excavation with a photo of Kati on site.

Alex Petkas '08 (Classical Languages) was awarded 3rd place on the 2007 Advanced Greek sight translation exam conducted by Eta Sigma Phi, the national Classics Honor Society. Congratulations, Alex!

Lisa Whitlatch '06 (Classical Languages) gave a paper at the 4th annual Sunoikisis Undergraduate Research Symposium in Classics on March 24, 2006 at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. Her paper was entitled "Putting the Hetaira in Hetairistriai: The Male Perspective on Female Homosexuality in Plato's Symposium."

Lisa Whitlatch '06 (Classical Languages) received a scholarship from the Hellenistic Professional Society of Texas, which she is using toward her expenses for study in Rome spring semester, 2005.
