electronic classrooms
CLT is responsible for the design, installation and maintenance
of the campus electronic classrooms, and provides operational training
and assistance for faculty using these rooms. Trinity’s electronic
classrooms are divided into four basic categories.
Level
I classrooms (11) provide video (DVD/VHS) display only.
Level
II classrooms (3) have computer data projection
capability in addition to video projection. A network connection
and video/data projector input for a computer/laptop are provided,
but the computer itself is not included in a Level Two classroom.
Level
III (65) provides
an instructor’s station complete with
computer, and includes touch-panel control of the room’s
AV equipment as well as room features such as lights and the projection
screen.
Level IV (6) classrooms
incorporate a sophisticated computer control system that
enables the instructor to control the keyboard, mouse, and
monitor of each student, and to display the image from any
student’s
computer on the projection screen at the front of the room.
