Herndon Hall

Harold D. Herndon Hall is located in the east end of campus directly behind Mabee Dining Hall. All three floors of Herndon house men and women on opposite sides of the building. Herndon is designed with public walkways (room doors open directly to the outside). All rooms view a park-like area. Herndon Hall is adjacent to two other first-year halls - Beze Hall to the south and Winn Hall to the north.

Herndon Hall amenities include:
  • Laundry rooms located on the second floor and third floor,
  • Vending and ice machines located on the second floor,
  • A microwave located on the third floor.

Herndon rooms feature:
  • Wood paneled and white walls, with tan carpet and colored highlights,
  • Blue mini-blinds over the windows,
  • Built-in desks with three small drawers for each resident. Above the desk there are four adjustable shelves,
  • A walk-in closet with a vanity, a lighted mirror, and four large drawers per person. Above the mirror is a cabinet with two nonadjustable shelves. Each person has a 46" clothes rod with one shelf above it.

Herndon bathrooms feature:
  • One towel bar per person and a single hook on the inside of each bathroom door,
  • One drawer per person between the sinks, and large cabinets under each sink.
