Lightner Hall

Camille Lightner Hall is one of the most popular upperclass halls on campus, primarily due to its unique set-up. Each suite shares a central living room area and each room has its own bathroom. There are 30 suites contained on five floors. Lightner is located between Prassel and Thomas Halls on the west side of campus and is attached to Thomas Hall.

Lightner Hall amenities include:
  • Laundry rooms located on the second and fourth floors,
  • Vending machines located in the first floor lobby,
  • A balcony that is shared by each suite,
  • Access to the Thomas lounge, which is on the third floor, and is equipped with cable TV and a kitchen,
  • Lightner is a "wet" hall, which means that residents over age 21 may possess and consume beer or wine in their rooms.

Lightner rooms feature:
  • Purple carpet with blue-colored walls,
  • Built-in desks, with two drawers (one shallow, one deep) and three adjustable shelves above each desk,
  • Large walk-in closets to allow plenty of storage space for clothes and items,
  • A bathroom for each room,
  • A furnished living-room area between the rooms in each suite.

Lightner bathrooms feature:
  • Partitioned areas for the toilet and shower, as well as for the sink and dressing area. Each room possess its own bathroom.
