It didn't take Ashante Reese '07 long to get into the swing of things at Trinity. After declaring an English major, she added a second major in History and a minor in African American Studies by the end of her sophomore year. Her focus and ambition yielded quick results. She was a presenter at the 2005 Undergraduate Conference on English Language and Literature and a workshop facilitator at the Southwestern Black Student Leadership Conference that same year. She was also an Honor Council member, president of the Black Student Union, a Model U.N. delegate, and a member of Trinity's successful women's track team. But Ashante's greatest contribution to Trinity may be attracting more students like her — she's also one of the Office of Admissions' Distinguished Representatives. |
