1984: Trinity students call by lantern when the electricity goes out. |
 |
Our year-round phonathon program is run out of a state-of-the-art calling center in upstairs Mabee Hall. |
 |
The traditional volunteer Phonathon will continue each September in upstairs Coates. |
Each year,
Trinity alumni and parents have an opportunity to connect with today's
Trinity students through the Trinity University National Phonathon. Throughout
the academic school year, student callers communicate with alumni and
parents to
update their records, inform them of recent happenings around campus and
to request their financial support of the University.
Phonathon originally began with about 150 students volunteering their
time in an effort to raise funds for the University. Following the 2004
volunteer effort, full-time operations were transferred to a new call
center in upstairs Mabee Hall.
The combined
efforts in 2004-2005 brought the Trinity Phonathon to a new
level. Pledges in the amount of $521,866 were committed to the Annual
Fund last year – the most in Trinity history! Student callers continue
to go above and beyond to exceed the amount raised the year before.

Our ability to
raise these important dollars depends on our ability to get in touch with
you! If
you haven’t received a call from Trinity in a while, please send us your
phone number!
We not only give you the opportunity to make a
gift during the Phonathon, but will tell you about upcoming events and
reunions in your area. You may also want to send a TigerGram to your
favorite professor to tell them how well you are doing in your challenging
job.
Working the
Trinity University National Phonathon can be a great way to gain experience.
Callers learn important communication and negotiation skills. Shifts are
Sunday through Thursday from 6 – 9 pm with occasional shifts from 2 – 5 pm.
Callers must work a minimum of 2 shifts per week. To apply to become a
Phonathon Caller, please fill out a Phonathon
Caller Application and return it to NH 210 or through campus mail to Box
#49.
