Job Openings for Economists
The Department of Economics invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the assistant professor level beginning fall semester 2008. Primary fields of interest are Public Economics, Labor Economics, Law & Economics and Industrial Organization. Other desirable fields include History of Thought and Urban Economics. Outstanding teaching ability and enthusiasm for teaching in a liberal arts environment are essential, as is strong scholarly potential. Some teaching experience is desirable. The position requires a recent Ph.D. in economics. ABDs will be considered, but all requirements for the Ph.D. must be completed by August 2008. Applicants should send vitae and evidence of teaching effectiveness (if available), and arrange for us to receive at least three letters of reference. For full consideration, applications and all related materials must be received by November 15, 2007. We will conduct interviews by prior appointment at the AEA meetings.
