Certification and Placement

In accordance with the Texas State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC), upon successful completion of the M.A.T. program and after passing the required state exams, candidates will be certified to teach within the public school system in Texas (Early Childhood - Grade 12). Currently, certification is available at the following levels:

Placement: After Graduation

Graduates of Trinity University's M.A.T. Program are certified to teach public school (Early Childhood - Grade 12) in the State of Texas. In addition, Trinity's Program in Teacher Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and graduates who wish to obtain certification in other states benefit from this association.
