The Master of Arts in Teaching
"Teachers affect eternity; no one can tell where their influence stops." - Henry Adams

Cohort Model

A Cohort Approach to Learning
Candidates proceed through the pre-determined sequence of courses and field activities in cohorts of eight to 15 students.  Students not only learn together and from one another; they develop a sense of community and support among their cohort of peers that enriches professional life after graduation.

The dedicated faculty is able to offer pre-service teachers an exceptional amount of personal contact, coaching, support, and supervision throughout this rigorous academic year. While completing their internships, degree candidates are supervised by carefully identified and specially trained Mentor Teachers in area Professional Development Schools where Trinity has developed a long and sustained partnership.
