Applying to the Program

To be eligible for admission to the Tomorrow's Leaders Program, candidates must have earned a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Candidates must complete a minimum of two years of full time teaching (or equivalent) in order to be eligible for admission. There is no application deadline, candidates may submit an application throughout the academic year on a rolling admissions basis. Please note, the program accepts a maximum of 15 candidates per year.

The applicant should submit the following items to the Department of Education at Trinity:
  1. Application to Graduate Studies at Trinity University (include a $30 check made out to "Trinity University" for processing)
  2. Departmental Application (download and complete using Word)
  3. Official transcripts of all college work in original sealed envelope(s)
  4. Three letters of recommendation from previous college instructors or supervisors (download the reference form Word or PDF)
  5. An interview with Program Director, Dr. Tom Sergiovanni

Before submitting an application, interested candidates are advised to contact Ms. Sonia Mireles, Academic Office Manager in the Department of Education, to discuss the program and the application process.

*Candidates who hold a Master's degree are exempt from submitting GRE scores. Additionally, based on the nature of the Master's degree received, candidates entering the program with an advanced degree may be exempt from up to 6 hours of coursework.
