Financial Aid Process

THE PROCESS

To be considered for financial aid for the 2005-2006 academic year (summer 2005, Fall 2005 and Spring 2006), you must complete the 2005-2006 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may file via the Internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov beginning January 1, 2005.

On the FAFSA, you should list Trinity's school code 003647, as one of the schools to receive your application information. This will enable Trinity to receive your results (Student Aid Report - SAR) electronically.

After you receive your financial aid award, additional documentation may be required to meet government program requirements. If you are applying for one or more student loans, you must complete and submit additional application forms for each loan program to the Office of Financial Aid.

MORE DETAIL

Awarding

Financial aid at Trinity comes in four forms — Merit Awards, need-based Grants, Loans, and Campus Employment. Merit awards and grants are outright gifts to the student and do not have to be repaid. Merit awards are based on academic achievement or special talent, whereas a need-based grant requires that a student demonstrate need.
